Sarah Theriault

Senior Physiotherapist

Education History: I completed my Masters in Physiotherapy Studies in 2009 from the University of Queensland, following a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movements from the University of Ottawa in Canada. I have had many years of experience as a physio patient myself, due to the unfortunate combination of being clumsy and playing lots of different sports while growing up.

Areas of physio: I have worked in a variety of settings, both in Australia and the UK, and have experience in both medical and surgical hospital wards, as well as private clinics. I have special interest in chronic pain, women’s health and craniosacral therapy, which I find can be extremely helpful especially for those with long term pain, headaches/migraines, jaw pain or who have “tried everything” without success.

I believe it is important that my patients have an understanding of their problem or condition, the causes, and is passionate about ensuring a comprehensive and realistic approach to treatment, which allows my patients to actively participate in their own health.

Cara

Practice Manager

I grew up in rural South Australia in a small country town called Wallaroo and moved to Queensland in 2017 to study Physiotherapy. I spent 5 years on the Gold Coast and moved up the coast in 2022 where I started my journey here at Auscare!

I have extensive experience working in Allied Health settings and love being involved in our patient’s healthcare journey. Getting to know our regulars and being the first person to welcome you into the clinic is my favourite part of the job. We are so lucky here to have a team that go above and beyond to make everyone feel like part of the Auscare Physio family.

If I am not in clinic, you will find me spending time with my Border Collie fur babies Loki and Beni.

I look forward to seeing you in clinic soon!

I have lived in Moreton Bay most of my life, mainly working as medical administration. I started with Auscare Physio in 2022 and have loved every moment since. The team here are beautiful and welcoming, and our patients are always friendly, smiling and well taken care of.

When I’m not at work you can find me reading, hiking, enjoying the great outdoors, or just simply spending quality time with my partner and kittens.
