Practice Manager

I moved from New Zealand in 2018 and have worked for Auscare Physio since then. We have the most amazing team here!

I love my job because I see everyone who walks through the door as ‘family’ and I love to brighten their day, make them smile and offer a coffee.

For fun I’m trying to surf! Play netball; cheat at board games and am a long distance grandmother!

I look forward to seeing you in Clinic.

I have recently moved from New Zealand to be closer to family and am enjoying exploring and getting to know Queensland.

I love the awesome team here and enjoy seeing the improvements they are able to achieve for our patients.

When I’m not at work you will find me lost in the bush – mountain biking, hiking or kayaking with my dogs, or playing board games over Zoom with my sister.

Kim Meden

Education History: I completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in 2006 and have worked in major metropolitan hospitals for nearly 15 years before transitioning to the private sector. I have also lectured at the University of Queensland. I have worked with both the critically ill to people with chronic conditions and with people of all ages and at all stages in their lives.

Areas of Interest: I have a special interest in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. I believe people with lung or respiratory conditions need access to treatment and advice outside of the hospital environment and deserve ongoing care for long-term conditions. I have extensive experience with conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis, bronchiectasis, emphysema, asthma, and pneumonia. I am also passionate about people with heart conditions receiving guided exercise progression and support once they are discharged from hospital and to prevent future admissions. I have experience working with conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease, Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Guillain Barre and Strokes. I will always work with the person and their family to achieve their goals and enhance quality of life.

Personal Interests: I’ve been involved in both Muay Thai and karate for many years and generally love anything outdoors including chasing waterfalls and hiking. I also like to paint and draw and get creative.
